At the end of 2007 a Barcelona City Council worker held a 15-day training seminar in Maputo.
By the middle of 2008 the physical renovation of the Maputo Municipal Archives had been completed. This means the building is better equipped for document organisation and maintenance.
In 2009, in addition to opening the new archives, Maputo staff will pay a training visit to the Barcelona City Municipal Archives.
