General objective
To improve the capacities of local authorities by improving the infrastructure, economic management and running of the Ntsindya Cultural Centre.
Results
  • Renovation of the central building and part of the exterior.
  • Better amenities at the centre, with appropriate facilities.
  • Improved capacitation of staff tasked with managing the centre and its activities.

Memory
April 2007- Visit by the Ntsindya Cultural Centre director to learn about Barcelona City Council's civic centre management models. While architects and technical staff were designing and deciding on renovation work at the centre, two technical staff from Maputo visited Barcelona for training in April 2008. The renovation work at the Ntsindya Cultural Centre is expected to start in June and continue to the end of 2009.
