Castillejo, Spain's current marathon champion, took first place in this Christmas race for the third time, with a time of 29 minutes and 29 seconds, a long way off his 2009 record of 28 minutes and 41 seconds, which is also the record for this and any other 10,000-metre race in Catalonia.
Spain's current marathon champion Carles Castillejo (Adidas) won the 13th Nose Man Fun Run with a time of 29 minutes and 29 seconds.
Lidia Rodríguez, the current Catalan 10,000 metres champion, was the fastest woman with a time of 33 minutes and 24 seconds on a day when 10,000 people took to the streets to run 10 km through the city and see off the year.
The Moroccan Ibrahim Ezzaydouni came second in the men's category, with a time of 29 minutes and 36 seconds, just a couple of seconds separating him from his fellow Moroccan Driss Lakhouaja (29 minutes and 38 seconds) who came third.
Following Rodríguez in the women's category came Jacqueline Martín, three-time Spanish cross-country champion, with a time of 34 minutes and 3 seconds, while Míriam Ortiz, who came second in the 2011 Catalan 10,000 metres championship and won the 2010 Santa Coloma de Gramanet cross-country, took third place with a time of 34 minutes and 57 seconds.
The time achieved this Saturday by Castillejo (who was also Spain's 10,000 metres champion and a 5,000 metres bronze medallist in 2009) did not beat 28 minutes and 41 seconds, the current race record he achieved in 2009, which set the Catalan 10,000 metres road race record for that year.

The Cursa dels Nassos (The Nose Race) has closed its registration period, as the maximum number of participants has been reached: 10,000 runners have already signed up for the event.
The race has come to new heights of success, with the highest registration number in its history, thanks to all Barcelonans keen to take on the 2011 challenge over 10 kilometres through the city centre.
All participants have to do now is keep training, whether on their own or with Rosa Morató and Pol Guillén. And wait for the Runner’s Fair to get underway, where you can pick up your chip, race number and runner’s bag.
The Runners’ Fair will be open on December 29th, 30th and 31st. More Information

The Cursa dels Nassos race is growing and how. At press time, twenty days after registration opened, the race now has over 4000 runners signed up, none of whom were willing to take a chance at being left without a spot.
Registration is already a success, regardless of the fact that runners have until December 26th to sign up. The maximum number of participants has been set at 10,000. If the pace of registration stays the same, it is quite possible that race participation will be cut off ahead of time.
This is why the Cursa dels Nassos organizers recommend anyone thinking about taking part in the last race of the year to sign up now, so as to reserve a spot for yourself in the race.
Registration is still being held exclusively online. Those wanting to sign up in person will be able to do so starting Friday, December 2nd.
