All you have to do is send a text message from your mobile to 217010 with the word VOLANT, a space and then your ID number (NIF, NIE or passport).
You will receive a text message confirming your request has been received and, in a few days, the City Council will send a residence certificate to the address where you are registered.
The Bicing station SMS service lets you know availability at the station you have requested, as well as the nearest ones to it, on your mobile.
All you have to do is send a text message from your mobile to 217010 with the word BICING, a space and then the station number.
You will receive a text message on the availability of anchorage points and bikes, as well as the situation at the nearest Bicing station.
The Barcelona WiFi SMS service lets you use your mobile to check which municipal centres within a particular postcode are Barcelona WiFi hotspots.
All you have to do is send a text message from your mobile to 217010 with the word WIFI, a space and then the postcode of the area for which you want to know what Barcelona WiFi connection hotspots are available.
You will receive a text message with the address (street and number) of all the hotspots for the postcode you have requested.
This SMS service lets you cancel a previously arranged appointment with the Tax Office.
All you have to do is send a text message from your mobile to 217010 with the word ANULCITA, a space and then the code you were given when you made the appointment.
You will receive a message confirming your appointment has been cancelled.
The municipal vehicle tow-away text message service provides information on where to locate vehicles that have been towed away, the charge and what you have to do to get your vehicle out of the compound.
You have to send a text message to 217010 with the word GRUA, followed by a space and the registration number of the vehicle.
You will receive information on where to find the vehicle, the charge and what you have to do to remove it from the compound. Because there is a 160-character limit on the length of text messages, service users normally receive more than one message together.
This SMS text service lets you check which polling station you have to vote at. The service only operates during elections.
You just have to send a text message from your mobile phone to 217010 with the word COLEGI, followed by a blank space, the number on your ID document (NIF, NIE or passport) followed by a blank space, and the number of the street where you live.

This SMS text service lets you check what point of its route the Kings' Cavalcade has reached. The service only operates on 5 January.
