Having access to health services is a fundamental and universal right. Hence, any person who is registered in the city population census can apply for a personal health care card and obtain free medical services at public health centres throughout Catalonia. The City’s public administration also promotes preventive medicine programmes and cultural mediation services at the primary health service centres and hospitals of Barcelona.
