Triangular Fountain

You will find a set of four water jets which spurt water straight up and five jets which form arches of various heights in the triangular lake in Nou Barris Central Park. There are also six little jets which work whenever the visitor triggers the pumping system. This fountain has a water recirculation and purifying system as well as floodlighting.

The Nou Barris Central Park project is by architects Carme Fiol and Andreu Arriola and was begun in 1999. The park is arranged as a space with no main paths or sign-posted directions, where green elements and water are the main protagonists.

In 2007, the Nou Barris Central Park architectural project was presented the International Urban Landscape Award (IULA), an award given for the redesign of urban spaces based on sustainability and innovation.
