Be careful with...

Do not keep fireworks in your pockets.
Do not hold fireworks in your hands when lighting. Do not wave crackers near the face or body. Strictly follow manufacturer's instructions when lighting fireworks.
Do not light fireworks within 500 metres of wooded areas.
Roman candles which cannot be hand-held must be put in the ground or a special tube to prevent injury.
Never throw a rocket with the end cut, as it can fly in any direction and cause harm when it explodes.
Always light the end of the fuse so you have time to move away.
Never throw fireworks at anybody. If a firework does not go off, do not touch it for at least half an hour, and then dip it in water.
Ensure there are no flammable liquids nearby. They light easily and can explode.
Never put fireworks in bricks or bottles, as the shards can cause serious injuries.
Where there are outdoor fireworks parties, take in washing and fold away any awnings, as well as closing doors and windows. Never light fireworks indoors.
Never cut the end off crackers, as they can explode.
